A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

DEVOID V2

is a twin stick shooter that takes place in a treacherous region of space. For those ready to take flight, your mission is simple. Reach the next spacestation alive and set a highscore. However, between you and your goal lies a swarm of vicious enemies looking to end your run short. Additionally you’ll have to carefully manage a volatile energy reserve that depletes when you move, take damage, or use a special attack.

Getting to your destination will require precise maneuvers, potent aim, and unbreakable will.

For those with a competitive spirit, the top 20 scores sent in will be displayed at devoidgame.com

Honestly, super fun gameplay loop. It feels tight and responsive, and the sound design is really solid. All that being said, there are a few things, like enemies will spawn in the asteroid clusters on the edge of the map with no way to get to them and usually it's okay if you just move to another area because more will spawn but if you're low on energy It can be a run ender. While the dash is super fun, I found myself accidentally doing it a lot as I went to switch directions a lot, so perhaps a way to change key binds or even just putting it on the shift key would be such an improvement, and also a way to pause the game would be amazing too. This is super fun, and I definitely recommend it if you're a fan of twin stick shooters, and I really look forward to where this game will go. I'll be following it closely! Good luck with the process and keep it up :)

Thank you! Enemy spawning could certainly be improved. I agree, its crushing when you are low on energy and the enemies are unreachable. As for the dash, I plan on adding the ability to bind keys (maybe in the next version) that way you can set it up how you'd like. Pause menu... uh yeah that should also prob exist lol. Glad you enjoyed the game. I'll be taking all of this into account for V3.
